Welcome to Gerði Guesthouse & Farm on the doorstep of Vatnajökull Glacier Park in southeast Iceland. Located ten minutes from Jökulsárlon Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach, we’re the perfect base for glacier exploration, ice cave adventures, and boat-rides on the iceberg lagoon.
We are Björn Þorbergsson and Þórey Bjarnadóttir, your hosts. We welcome you to make yourself at home in our family-owned guesthouse steeped in local history. On the farm we have over 500 winter-fed sheep and 25 beautiful Icelandic horses. Our family roots in Suðursveit date back to the 1700s and the guesthouse was hand-built by Björn from his former homestead.
Open year-round, we warmly invite you to explore the breathtaking glacial landscapes that surround us whether it’s under the Northern Lights of winter or the Midnight Sun of summer.
